Galit came to mosaic art after years of working in textiles and jewelry — both deeply influence her current work. Most techniques used in her studio are self-developed through years of accumulated experience. Her mosaic materials are made from handmade ceramic pieces she creates using various techniques, which she also teaches to her students. Her goal is to pass on knowledge and enable her students to create through the art of breaking and rebuilding, combining color, shape, and material.
